BOZEMAN — Luke Fennelly, a member of the Montana State men’s basketball staff for the past four seasons, was named assistant coach by Brian Fish on Monday.

Fennelly, a 2007 Whitefish High School graduate, joined the Bobcats as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2013, and became the operations director prior to the 2015-16 season. A two-time all-conference basketball player for the Bulldogs, Fennelly earned his B.S. in Sports Business with a minor in Economics from Oregon in 2012. While in Eugene, he worked as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Lane Community College from 2010-13. He completed his Master’s in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis in Coaching and Sport Science from MSU in 2016.

Known for his organizational skills, Fennelly has drawn praise from Fish for his work in areas such as coordinating summer camps, scheduling and team travel. He replaces Brandon Lincoln, who left MSU last month.
