Chip seal work set for Montana 82

| June 21, 2017 8:47 PM

Knife River will be chip sealing a portion of Montana 82, from mile marker 1.4 to 6.8 between Somers and Montana 35, beginning Friday, June 23, weather permitting. The project is estimated to take two days to complete, followed by sweeping, sealant application and temporary striping on Saturday, June 24.

Motorists should expect traffic delays, pilot cars, reduced speed limits and single lane closures. Posted speed limits are enforced until signs indicate the work zone has ended. Fines will double in work zones.

The Montana Department of Transportation asks that motorists be patient when approaching construction zones and watch for changing conditions.

Plan ahead by calling 511 or visiting www.mdt511.com for the latest construction and weather reports. For more information or concerns regarding this project, contact Knife River at 406-755-5775.
