BOZEMAN — Leadoff batter Ty McGurran drove in two runs and scored another to lead the Helena Reps past the Kalispell Lakers A 5-3 on Thursday night at the Howard Rein Tournament in Bozeman.

Helena struck first with three runs in the third inning, and the Lakers, the home team in the neutral-site matchup, responded with two runs in the fourth.

The Reps added two insurance runs in the sixth to stretch their lead to 5-2, and those two runs paid off.

Barrett allowed two earned runs on six hits in a complete game.

Lakers starter Logan Siblerud surrendered three runs, though none were earned, in five innings.

Nate Vanderbeek led the Kalispell offense with two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs.

Lakers A will return to action today in a doubleheader. Kalispell will face the Livingston Braves at noon, followed by a game against the Butte Muckers at 2:30 p.m.
