Thomas J. Pyles, 81

Thomas J. Pyles, 81, passed away June 19, 2017, in Kalispell.

Tom was born in West Virginia July 15, 1935, and at age 13 moved to Montana. He loved hunting, fishing and singing.

He met and married Bernadine Snyder and they had six children. After the passing of Bernadine, he fell in love and married Sandi Gikiere in 2008. He lived in Martin City for the greater part of his life where he was greatly known and loved. Tom was a loving father for not only his own children but was considered a father figure to many, many others.

Tom was preceded in death by his late wife Bernadine, son Brian Pyles and nine siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi; sons, Tom Pyles Jr. (Beth), and Russ Pyles (Lisa); daughters, Linda Trumble (Gary), Susan Jones (Monte), and Audrey Snyder; stepchildren, Anthony Lufkin (Staci), Jennifer Gikiere, and Ryan Gikiere (Summer); 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister Norma Engbretson (Maurice); numerous nieces and nephews and adopted extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday June 24, at the South Fork Saloon in Martin City.
