Lightning sparks grass fire near Herron Park

A small grass fire in the Herron Park area near Kalispell garnered response from state agencies on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Kalispell Interagency Dispatch Center, the 0.41-acre blaze was started by lightning. A helicopter called to the scene was dipping a bucket into Foys Lake to drop water on the fire.
Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation fire engines also responded.
