Two injured climbing near Yaak Falls

Two people were reportedly injured while climbing on rocks near Yaak Falls, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The 12-year-old girl sustained head injuries and nearly drowned. Responding medics managed to resuscitate the girl, and she was airlifted to a hospital. The man with her suffered two fractures to his leg and ankle.

A man was arrested following a report by someone who allegedly witnessed him punching a woman in a car on Farm to Market. The man allegedly had warrants out for his arrest and was taken into custody at the scene.

A woman pushing a baby stroller down Fifth Street was reported for waiving a beer bottle at passing people and acting intoxicated. Officers made contact with the woman and found that she had one beer and was fine.

A home on Clayton Lane was reportedly egged. The homeowners told Columbia Falls Police they had “suspicions about who did it.”

A Good Samaritan allegedly found a lost smartphone beside a highway. The person turned the phone over to police despite reportedly having no cellphone of their own.

A man was reported for allegedly driving from Arizona to Montana to take pictures at young baseball games throughout the season in the Flathead Valley. The reporting person wanted to make sure the man was not a violent or sexual offender.

Officers picked up a pit bull after a bicyclist reported the dog for following him on his ride near Talbot Road.

A male reported being blackmailed for money by an unknown male online. The man allegedly threatened to release a “regrettable” video the alleged victim said he posted in an online chat room if he did not pay.

Beekeepers on East Second Street created a buzz among their neighbors when their bees allegedly began to swarm and move into surrounding trees. Other residents of the area told Whitefish Police the keepers were doing nothing to control the swarm and claimed to be allergic to bees.

A mother of two teens was reported for allegedly dealing meth out of their home. The mother allegedly used meth daily and traded sexual favors for pain pills and meth.

Suspected drug activity was reported on Karrow Avenue.

Five juveniles were reported for using a rental property to blow off some steam. The property manager reported the teens for smoking pot inside the building before fleeing the scene. One teen allegedly stayed behind to “get all the drugs out” and got into an argument with the manager. Officers were unable to locate the group upon arrival and advised the property owner of her options for eviction.

A resident of Ashar Avenue reported a water leak that allegedly left her carpet soaked. Officers responded to her residence and found the woman’s water heater had busted. After shutting off the water and helping the woman dry out her carpet, the responding officer attempted to contact the property manager multiple times, but received no response. The officer advised the woman to call back with any further issues.

Kalispell Police reported a “drug investigation” on North Main Street but included no additional information.

Two people were reported for taking photos of a home on West Oregon Street. The reporting person said the male and female looked as if they were trying to hike while taking the photos.

An underage teen was reported for sitting in a parking lot at an apartment complex on Two Mile Drive playing loud music. When approached, the boy told officers he was “just vaping.” The boy was returned to his mother and warned of the consequences of “vaping” because he is under 18.

A woman reported seeing a drone flying outside her daughter’s window on Fifth Avenue East. The drone then allegedly started following the woman before flying away. The woman allegedly followed the drone around the mall and saw a man put it into his truck.

A woman allegedly pepper-sprayed one of two men who reportedly jumped her in a grocery store parking lot. The reporting person told police the woman did not like law enforcement and did not wish to report the incident.
