A Columbia Falls woman was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly pulling a gun on deputies responding to her home following a report that she was a danger to herself.

Lisa Marie Decker, 34, was initially charged with felony assault on a peace officer and assault with a weapon.

According to a press statement from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Decker’s home on Jellison Road at around 10 a.m., at which time she allegedly produced a handgun and pointed it at deputies.

One deputy fired a shot as he retreated for cover, but missed Decker.

Decker then immediately surrendered and dropped the gun. She was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported.

The deputy who shot at Decker is now on administrative leave, according to policy, pending the completion of the investigation and administrative review.
