Columbia Falls girls have three named to Class A All-State team
Columbia Falls seniors Kiara Burlage and Cydney Finberg and junior Dani Douglas each garnered all-state honors when the team of the top girls basketball players in Class A was released on Tuesday. Wildkats coach Cary Finberg was named coach of the year.
The Wildkats capped a 23-1 season on Saturday with the Class A state championship and earned even more honors this week.
This is the third time Cydney Finberg has received all-state honors, also getting nods in her freshman and junior seasons. Burlage picked up her second straight all-state nod and it is the first honor for Douglas, who was all-conference last season at Whitefish.
Wildkats senior Peyton Kehr was named first team all-conference and senior post Sydney Hovde second team. Kehr was named the state tournament MVP earlier this week.
Three all-state players ties for the most of any team in the state. Butte Central also had three players named to the all-state team.
