Ukranian-born Alina Kiryayeva will perform a program of classic piano favorites at Flathead High School on Thursday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m.

The show is part of Flathead Valley Live on Stage’s 2016-17 season, but single tickets will be sold at the door and online at www.flatheadvalleyliveonstage.org. Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students and $75 for families. Season-ticket subscribers can purchase additional student tickets for $5 with a student ID, only at the door. Children 12 and under, when accompanied by an adult, will be admitted free of charge, and refunds or exchanges from February’s canceled New Big Sky Singers concert will also be processed.

KIRYAYEVA PLAYED her first solo recital at age eight and made her solo debut with an orchestra at 11. She was the first-prize winner at the Senigallia International competition in Italy and has claimed top prizes in several international piano competitions in the United States, including the Grace Welsh International competition and the California Young Artist International competition.

Kiryayeva has toured her native Ukraine, Russia, Mexico, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan and the United States during her career, and played with the Kharkov State Philharmonic, the Imperial Valley Symphony Orchestra and New York Symphonic Ensemble Orchestra. She released a solo piano album in 2013, “Sonatas,” that was featured on the 150th broadcast of “Women of Music” on CKWR radio in Ontario.
