'Friday Knight Fever' opens March 17 in Bigfork
The Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theater invites the Flathead Valley to its third musical production of the 2016-2017 season, “Friday Knight Fever,” a musical comedy tribute to the 70s, beginning Saturday, March 17 and running for two weekends.
“Friday Knight Fever” spoofs a time when mood rings and disco music reigned. The music captures this unique era to create a comedic script and score. Characters like the students of Culpepper High School, the chess club, some “bad” kids that have names resembling the “Brady Bunch,” a dysfunctional school administration and some jewel thieves with a series of issues to resolve before the big disco dance on Friday night, named in honor of their school mascot: the Knight.
Performances are scheduled for March 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25, with the Sunday show at 2 p.m. and all other performances at 7:30 p.m. at the Bigfork Center for the Performance Arts. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $9 for students and $8 for children 10 and under. On March 15 and 16, tickets will be sold for a special discount price of $7.
