Convicted sex offender faces parole violation charges
A man convicted of having sex with a 13-year-old girl denied charges March 2 that could lead to the revocation of his suspended sentence.
Ryan William Taylor, 22, pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent, a felony, in Flathead County District Court in front of Judge Dan Wilson in 2014.
The minor told authorities that she and Taylor had sex multiple times after she had made Taylor aware of her age. According to court documents, Taylor stated he told a friend he felt like a child molester and regretted it.
Taylor was sentenced in 2014 to 10 years with the Montana Department of Corrections with eight years suspended.
He was released Aug. 12, 2016, and allegedly violated his parole six days later when he failed to report to his probation officer, according to court records. Taylor also allegedly had two drug violations, failed to appear for a sex offender treatment class and changed his physical address without notifying his parole officer.
Taylor entered a plea of general denial. A revocation hearing has been set for March.
A man admitted to beating his partner and cutting her hair with a razor blade March 2.
With two prior convictions of partner family member assault, a plea deal with the state required Cheyenne Nathan Allen, 35, to plead guilty to the felony charge of criminal endangerment.
Judge Robert Allison deferred sentencing for three years.
A deferred sentence is suspended until after a defendant completes a period of probation, at which time the judge may throw out the sentence and/or the guilty plea.
According to court documents, in July 2016 authorities responding to Allen’s residence found his partner with a bump on her forehead and a cut on her arm allegedly caused by Allen.
Authorities found Allen in the bathroom with a bloody nose he said was from punching himself in the face. Allen also allegedly admitted he cut off his partner’s hair because he wanted to hurt her emotionally.
Both of the couple’s young children were present during the altercation.
A 32-year-old man admitted to slapping a 4-year old girl in the face.
Arthur Audello III pleaded guilty to felony assault on a minor before Judge Robert Allison in Flathead County District Court Thursday, March 2.
The child still had visible injuries on both sides of her face two days after the incident that occurred in April 2016, according to court documents.
Audello was sentenced to five years in the Montana State Prison with all that time suspended.
A mother admitted to endangering her 8-year-old son who was in the car during a collision that occurred while she as driving drunk.
Cherie Christine Fieldhouse, 54, pleaded guilty to felony criminal child endangerment March 2 before Judge Daniel Wilson in Flathead District Court.
Wilson deferred sentencing for three years.
Fieldhouse told officers she had just picked up her son from school and admitted to having consumed alcohol before the crash.
If convicted, Fieldhouse faces a sentence of up to 10 years in Montana State Prison and a fine of up to $50,000.
A Kalispell woman convicted of doctor shopping in 2006 denied new charges of drug possession that could lead to the revocation of her suspended sentence.
In February 2014, Flathead District Court Judge Robert Allison sentenced Abigail Vanzandt, 32, to five years with the Montana Department of Corrections with two years suspended on a charge of fraudulently obtaining dangerous drugs.
Vanzandt was on workers comp for a work related injury when she obtained multiple prescriptions for pain medication from 14 different doctors between July of 2006 and November of 2006, according to court records.
A revocation hearing has been set for March 9.
