Glacier senior Jaxen Hashley helped lead his team to the first state basketball title in school history last weekend. On Tuesday, he was one of the leading vote getters on the Class AA all-state team, one of four players honored from Kalispell.

Hashley, who was named MVP of the state tournament this weekend, averaged a double-double this season, 16.7 points and a state-best 11.9 rebounds, one of only two players to achieve the feat. It is the second time Hashley has received all-state honors after making the team his sophomore season. He sat out his junior season with a knee injury.

Flathead junior Sam Elliott, a forward that averaged 12.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, joined him on the boys’ all-state squad after helping Flathead back to the state tournament for the first time since 2012.

Flathead senior Tiana Johnson, the state leader in scoring this season with 17.1 points per game, led the local charge on the girls’ all-state team. Johnson was also in the top five in the state in rebounding, field goals and 3-pointers made and field-goal, 3-point and free-throw percentage. She was a second-team all-conference selection each of the last two years.

Glacier senior Nikki Krueger also made the all-state team, after averaging 12.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game and helping the Wolfpack back to the state tournament for the first time in two years. She was an honorable mention selection last season.

Other players named to the girls’ all-state team from the West were state champion Helena High’s Jamie Pickens and Kamden Hilborn, Missoula Sentinel’s Kylie Frohlich and Jordyn Schweyen and Helena Capital’s Taylor Sullivan. East honorees were Great Falls CMR’s Tristin Achenbach and Addison Gardner, Great Falls High’s Hannah Collins, Billings Senior’s Kola Bad Bear, Bozeman’s Riana Rogers and Billings West’s Brianna Shirley.

Flathead’s Kylee Meredith was named second-team all-conference in the West.

Other all-state West honorees on the boys team were Missoula Hellgate’s Rollie Worster and Derrius Collins, Helena High’s Taylor England, Helena Capital’s Brad Haller and Missoula Sentinel’s Sam Beighle. East honorees were Great Falls’ Brendan Howard, Billings Skyview’s RayQuan Evans, Bozeman’s Drew Huse and Callahan O’Reilly, Billings West’s Braydon and Bryson Deming and Butte’s Brock Powell.

Flathead junior Tyler Johnson, who led the Braves in scoring with 14.1 points per game, and Glacier’s Tadan Gilman were named second team all-conference. Glacier’s Brec Rademacher and Caden Harkins and Flathead’s Ereic Seaman were honorable mention.
