Bigfork hunter education classes available; C-Falls date changed

Openings remain for the spring Hunter Education class in Bigfork.

By state law, anyone born after Jan. 1, 1985, must have completed the free course to buy a hunting license in Montana. A student must be at least 10 years old to take the course.

All students must register online by visiting fwp.mt.gov, clicking “Education” and then clicking “Hunter Education.”

The Bigfork course takes place at the Bigfork Elementary School, with orientation to be held Wednesday, March 22, 7 to 8 p.m. Regular classes will take place March 27-31, from 6 to 9 p.m.. The field course is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, and the test night is Monday, April 3.

The orientation class for this spring’s Hunter Education course in Columbia Falls will be held at the city’s fire hall tonight.

Students can attend anytime from 6 to 8 p.m. and will pick up student manuals and course instructions.

The remaining dates for the course have not changed.
