Water for Flathead’s Future, a group opposing the proposed Montana Artesian Water Co. plant in Creston, will sponsor three screenings of the documentary “Tapped” in locations across the valley next week.

The film examines the history of bottled water in the United States and the industry’s environmental impacts.

It will be shown at the following locations:

- The O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish: Thursday, March 23, at 7 p.m.

- Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell: Friday, March 24, at 7 p.m.

- The Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts: Sunday, March 26, at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the Whitefish and Bigfork screenings cost $10 at the door. Admission is free at the Kalispell event.

Representatives from Water for Flathead’s Future will lead a question-and-answer session after each showing, and will provide updates on their efforts to keep the industry from developing facilities in the Flathead.

“As the Montana Artesian Water Company continues its plans to begin bottling millions of gallons of groundwater in Creston, it is important to educate ourselves about the impact of the water bottling industry on our water supplies and our environment,” Sheila Zohrer, a member of the organization, said in a press release.

Water for Flathead’s Future is also planning a public demonstration at Depot Park in Kalispell on today from 4 to 6 p.m.
