Reckless man doing 'wheelies'

According to a Columbia Falls Police report, a man on a bike was seen doing “wheelies and stuff” on Second Avenue West. The man was believed to be 15 years old and was wearing a helmet. The caller was concerned that the man was being reckless, and reported that he was speeding up and down the road.

A burglary reportedly took place at a residence on Fourth Avenue West. The caller reported that someone had broken into her home and stolen several electronics.

A caller on Ninth Street West reported that a child in the backseat of a vehicle had not been buckled. The caller believed the child was 5 or 6 years old.

Two boys on Veteran Drive reported that a sedan was following them. The vehicle reportedly followed them home, but officers were unable to locate the suspect.

A caller on Franlou Park Lane reported that a black dog with long hair has been making “messes in all the yards” for several weeks.

A resident on Seventh Street West reported that a strong smell of marijuana was coming from an apartment an “filling up” the whole building. Officers on scene later determined that there was no smell in the building.

Sometime after 2 a.m., a caller on Seventh Street West reported that her neighbors were “partying very loudly.” She stated that people were drinking and talking loudly.

Whitefish Police Department received a report that a bike was stolen outside of a building on Spokane Avenue. The bike was on a bike rack on the caller’s vehicle, but had not been locked.

A man called to report that his wife had been followed home by a man in a sedan. When his wife got home, he walked out the door with a gun and the man drove away. His wife told him that she had been getting fuel when the vehicle allegedly followed her, cut her off and then tried to block her from getting home.
