Prison inmate dies after longterm illness
An inmate at Montana State Prison died Saturday, March 18, at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula after an extended illness.
Merlyn Lee Marceau, 64, was sentenced in Flathead County District Court to 40 years with 20 suspended for the crime of sexual intercourse without consent in 1997.
Marceau was released on probation in 2008 but was resentenced to 20 years in Montana State Prison with no time suspended in 2009 following a probation violation.
