Bouncy ball causes brawl

When a man allegedly entered someone’s yard and stole a child’s ball, the homeowner yelled at him to return it. The man, instead, allegedly kicked the ball down the road, and the homeowner in turn claimed he ran out and shoved the man. The stranger reportedly left and returned with four other males, yelling profanities at the homeowner. The homeowner told the Kalispell Police Department he then went into the house, got his gun and kept it aimed at the ground as he suggested the men avoid coming onto his property. The four men then left, threatening to come back and “get him.”

A man reported getting multiple “equity management” business cards left on his door. When he tried to call the number on the card, he said the number was invalid.

A man reported what he believed was a snake bite on his ankle.

A couple reportedly stole an energy drink and deli food from a store on 1st Avenue East.

A resident on East California Street was allegedly selling drugs to children.

A man walked into a store to buy cigarettes but did not have his identification card. When an employee refused to sell to him without an ID, the man allegedly took the cigarettes and told the employee “if he did anything about it he would regret it.”

Someone reportedly stole a wallet from a gun show on North Meridian Road.

A girl’s bicycle was found leaning against someone’s garage on 2nd Avenue East.

Near a playground on Liberty Street, a man in Western wear was reported for standing in the bushes watching girls on the playground and trying to get their attention. Authorities determined the man lived in the area and was just out walking his dog.

A man was reportedly seen throwing his dog around at a local park. The reporting person told the Whitefish Police Department this was an ongoing issue with this man.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of about 50 cars that were backed up for 20 minutes because of a train blocking West Evergreen Lane.

A black lab was seen near Badger Hollow Trail dragging a white leash. The reporting person said that the dog appeared to be injured but became aggressive when approached. Authorities were unable to catch the dog.

An electric bike was reportedly stolen from a business on Whitefish Stage Road.

Someone allegedly broke into a trailer on Ridgewood Drive

A mailbox was allegedly ripped off its post on Hungry Deer Lane.

A skittish gray dog was found in a trailer park. No one was able to capture the frightened dog.
