The Marion School Board of Trustees estimates the following increase/decreases in revenues and mills for the funds noted below for the next school fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017, using certified taxable valuations from the current school fiscal year as provided by the district. Transportation Fund: Estimated change in revenues: $78,266. Estimated change in Mills: increase 11.89 mills. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is $16.04 increase and on a home of $200,000 a $32.09 increase. Tuition Fund: Estimated change in revenues: $43,260. Estimated change in Mills: increase 6.57 mills. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is $8.87 increase and on a home of $200,000 a $17.74 increase. Total. Estimated change in revenues: $121,526. Estimated change in Mills: increase 18.46 mills. Regarding the increase in referenced above, increase in transportation is for 2nd bus route and tuition for Special Ed Para's.
