School calendar
- The Fair-Mont-Egan running club starts Monday. Practice is from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday the first week. After the first week practice will be held each Tuesday. Open to students in kindergarten through eighth. Participants must have a sports physical on file with the office prior to the first practice.
- Make clay creations Monday through April 8 at ImagineIF Columbia Falls. Appropriate for grades kindergarten through sixth.
- Child Find screenings for children living in Kila, Smith Valley, Marion and Pleasant Valley school districts will be held from 8:30 to10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Kila School. Participating children will be evaluated for potential disabilities or developmental delays.
- Child Find screenings for children living in West Valley and Olney-Bissell school districts will be held from 8:30 to10:30 a.m. Wednesday at West Valley School. Participating children will be evaluated for potential disabilities or developmental delays.
- St. Matthew’s Catholic School, 602 South Main St., Kalispell, will hold a preschool and kindergarten roundup from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. No appointment is necessary. The day is also an opportunity for families to visit classrooms and meet teachers. Full-day preschool is available to children ages 2-5. Half-day preschool is open to ages 3-4. Kindergarten is for 5-year-olds. Schedules vary depending on program. For more information call 752-6303.
- The Whitefish High School talent show is planned for Thursday.
- Swan River students have a 1:45 p.m. dismissal Friday.
- Bigfork students have a 1:30 p.m. early release Friday.
- Whitefish Christian Academy students have a noon release Friday. It is a teacher work day.
- Smith Valley School PTC Craft Show is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 8 at the school. Bring a camera to take pictures with the Easter bunny from 11 a.m. 1 p.m.

- Bigfork juniors, seniors and their parents are invited to attend an informational night from 6 to 8 p.m. April 11 in the elementary cafeteria to learn about rigorous classes, ACT testing, scholarships, volunteering, preparing for college, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, Running Start and Virtual High School. Food will be provided.
- A kindergarten round up is planned April 11 at Olney-Bissell. There will be no kindergarten classes.
- Parent/teacher conferences at Columbia Falls High School is set April. 11.
- Use a wood burning tool to decorate a wooden spoon at ImagineIF Library from 4 to 6 p.m. April 11-14 and 10 to noon April 15. While supplies last. Parental supervision required.

- Fair-Mont-Egan School will hold kindergarten round up April 12. Make an appointment by calling the school office at 755-7072. In conjunction with the round up, there will be no school for the current kindergarten class.
- Child Find screenings for children living in Lakeside, Swan River and Swan Lake school districts will be held 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. April 12 at Somers Middle School. Participating children will be evaluated for potential disabilities or developmental delays.
- Parent/teacher conferences at Columbia Falls Junior High is set April. 13.
- It’s “Kids Night Out” with the Bigfork High School Vikings basketball team from 5 to 9 p.m. April 14 in the Bigfork middle school gym. Students in grades first through fifth are invited to hang out with the team in this basketball fundraiser. Cost is $20 per child and $15 per additional siblings.
- There is no school April 14 at Whitefish Christian Academy for parent/teacher conferences.
- Bigfork kindergarten registration is set April 14. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 837-7412, extension 321.

- Helena Flats School will hold kindergarten roundup April 19. Call the school at 257-2301 to make an appointment.
- Smith Valley students have an early out April 19. Grades kindergarten through third are dismissed at 12:45 p.m. and fourth through eighth at 12:55 p.m.
- The ACT will be administered to high school juniors April 19.
- Flathead Valley Little Guy Football registration for Kalispell residents will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. April 20-21 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 at Kalispell Center Mall. Polson residents may register from 6 to 8 p.m. April 26 at Polson High School. Students must be in fourth, fifth or sixth grade in the fall. Participants will learn football fundamentals and everyone gets a chance to play during game time. Cost is $80. For more information visit www.flatheadvalleyfootball.com.
- Bigfork students have a 1:30 p.m. early release April 21.
- Country Cousins 4-H Club is inviting 4-H clubs around the Flathead to join a road clean-up event April 23. The goal is to clean 100 miles of road around the valley. Supplies will be provided.
