Columbia Falls’ Trista Cowan hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning to cap an 11-1 win over Flathead on Tuesday at Kidsports Complex.

Flathead held the Wildkats scoreless for the first three innings and held the score close through the fifth, when Columbia Falls blew the game wide open.

The Kats scored four runs in the sixth inning to take a 7-0 lead in the game, and with the help of Cowan’s big bat, added four more runs in the seventh inning.

Flathead added one run in the seventh but couldn’t get to KJ Scweikert enough for a rally.

Peyton Kehr was 4 for 5 from the plate with a double and Schweikert helped her cause with a 2 for 3 performance. Sydney Hovde also had two hits for the Wildkats.

Kylee Beccari had a double in three plate appearances for Flathead, one of five hitters to notch a hit in the game.
