Flathead worked the bats but couldn’t find runs in a pair of lopsided losses at Kidsports Complex on Wednesday.

The Bravettes fell behind early in their opener against Sentinel, but it wasn’t for a lack of hitting. Flathead amassed nine hits in the contest but couldn’t convert them to runs, falling behind 9-0 in the fourth inning before putting up two runs in the home half of the frame on hits from Bailey Nunn and Kylee Meredith.

Jayden Russell knocked a solo home run in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough to match Sentinel in a 13-3 loss.

Flathead wasn’t able to generate as much offense in an 11-0 loss to Big Sky, falling behind the Eagles 10-0 after two innings. The Bravettes mustered just two hits in the game, both on singles in the fourth inning.

Russell and Riley Chouinard were the only Bravettes to pick up hits in both games, Chouinard leading the way with three hits in the doubleheader.

Glacier led in both ends of a doubleheader against Big Sky and Sentinel, but gave up seventh-inning rallies to drop each game by one run.

In the opener against Big Sky, Glacier scored two runs in the sixth inning to tie the game a 4-4 after holding a 2-1 lead early in the game. The Eagles answered, however, with a double from Brylee Meisinger to score the go-ahead run. The Wolfpack grounded out and flew out twice in a last-chance attempt to retie the game.

Against Sentinel, a three-run fourth, led by a two-run double from Sophie Smith, gave the Wolfpack a 4-3 lead.

The Spartans also found life in the seventh, reaching their first two batters safe, with a single from Mariel Warren scoring the winning run on the next at-bat. Glacier got the game-winning run to the plate in the home half of the frame but grounded out to lose another one-run game.
