T-Falls edges Bigfork at St. Regis Invite

ST. REGIS — Both the Bigfork boys and girls were narrowly edged for the team title at the St. Regis Invitational, with Thompson Falls’ top golfers shooting the Blue Hawks to victory.

The Vikings placed all three scoring golfers in the top five at the meet. Chase Pacheco led the pack with a third place finish at 11-over-par 83, Colton Stodghill was fourth after carding an 85 and Augie Emslie sixth with an 88.

Even that performance, however, couldn’t overtake Thompson Falls, which was bouyed by medalist Dylan Bekman’s even par 72 to win the meet. The Blue Hawks also finished golfers in second and sixth to edge Bigfork by 12 strokes for the team title.

Libby’s Riley Vogel (eighth, 93) and Sebos Sanders (ninth, 96) also finished in the top 10.

The Thompson Falls girls took the top two spots at the meet to beat Bigfork for the team title by 28 strokes.

Isabella Santistevan led the Valkyries with a 108 in third and Melissa Paulsen shot 111 in fourth. Carly Stodghill rounded out the scoring with a seventh-place 118.

Eureka’s Peyton Benson shot a 117 to finish sixth and Libby’s Sidney Croucher was 10th with a 132.
