There are still records to be broken at the Archie Roe Invitational.

Rain threatened most of the day at Legends Stadium, but only rarely sprinkled on Saturday as 15 teams met for one of the last big meets before the postseason.

Glacier’s Annie Hill broke her own record in the 1,600-meter run by more than two seconds, finishing in 4:47.3 to win the race by 10 seconds, pulling away from Bigfork’s Bryn Morley in the final lap.

Hill also set the meet record in the 800 by finishing in 2:11.62, topping a mark set last year by Shelby’s Kim Parsell by more than two seconds. It’s the fastest time in the state this season by nearly four seconds.

Glacier’s 400 relay team also ran in record time, crossing the line in 42.79 seconds to best the mark they set last year by .07 seconds. It’s the second-fastest time in the state this season.

Flathead senior Jaden Anderson came close to setting a record in the 800, finishing in 1:56.58 to win the race but miss the record by half a second.

The run was enough, however, to lift Flathead to a team title, topping Glacier 145-121.

The Braves won five events, with Ben Perrin taking the 3,200, Trae Vasqez the long jump, Chad Hemsley the 300 hurdles and the 4x400 team edging Glacier.

Glacier’s Drew Turner and Ethan Larson went 1-2 in the sprints and ran on the record-setting 4x100 relay.

Glacier won the girls team title over Missoula Hellgate thanks, in part, to Hill’s big day.

Wolfpack senior Nikki Krueger won both the shot put and discus, Ahna Kreitinger won the 200 and Brynn McChesney took the 100 hurdles.

Bigfork’s Haile Norred won the 100 and 400 and anchored the Valkyries winning 400 and 1,600 relays.
