Bravettes seniors blast Polson

The Flathead seniors lifted their team when they had to, with a pair of them hitting late home runs to drive the Bravettes softball team to a 5-4 victory over Polson on on senior night Tuesday at Kidsports Complex.
The game started on a delay after a Flathead assistant coach had a seizure and was driven to the hospital in an ambulance.
The Bravettes fell behind 2-1 in the second inning and trailed 4-1 in the fourth when senior Kylee Meredith jolted Flathead back into the game with a two-run home run to left center field.
Two innings later, with the score still 4-3, Flathead senior Kylee Beccari put the Bravettes ahead for good with a two-run home run to dead center.
Maitlynn Betts settled down in the circle and held Polson scoreless for the final three innings to earn the win.
Beccari went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead Flathead in the victory.
Kaylanna DesJarlais was 2 for 4 to lead Polson.

Frenchtown 7, Glacier 5
Four-time defending Class A champion Frenchtown took an early lead and held on to beat Glacier despite a late Wolfpack rally.
Glacier cut Frenchtown’s lead to 3-2 in the fourth inning but fell behind after giving up four runs in the the sixth.
The Wolfpack answered with a three-run bottom of the sixth to cuth the lead to 7-5 but couldn’t find any runs in the seventh to extend the game.
Addie Labrum, Erin McHugh and Maddie Johnson all had three hits for Glacier, which outhit Frenchtown 15-12 in the loss.

LIBBY — Khalyn Hageness tossed a 2-hitter and Madisen Monigold led the hit parade with three singles as Libby crushed Eureka in Class B play.
Hageness struck out seven batters and walked four.
She gave up a single Erynn Thier and a solo home run to center field to lead off the fourth inning to Avory Escobar.
Lindsay Walker had two hits for Libby.
Hageness, Sammee Bradeen, Jayden Winslow and Haylee Cannon all ripped doubles.
Libby pushed nine runs across the plate in the second inning to put the game out of reach. The Loggers sent 12 batters to the plate in that inning and had four hits.
“Our girls played well,” veteran Libby coach Dean Thompson said.
“There were fired up, ready to go.”
Libby ends regular-season action on Saturday at home versus Ronan at 11 a.m.
