Hockaday offering summer classes for kids

| May 11, 2017 4:00 AM

Kalispell’s downtown Hockaday Museum of Art has set its schedule of summer classes for children, a lineup of six different courses running from June through August.

The program is designed to connect kids to art and cultural education, and provides learning opportunities for young artists throughout the summer months. Classes during the month of July are offered in partnership with Kalispell Parks and Recreation.

The summer lineup includes classes for children ages 6 to 14. Kids can try their hands at sculpture, drawing, painting and printmaking. Classes incorporate lessons in culture, art history and science. Summer classes are held in addition to the Hockaday’s weekly preschool art class, which continues year-round.

Interested students can register for June and August classes through the Hockaday, and sign up for July classes through Kalispell Parks and Recreation.

For more information, contact Hockaday Education Director Kathy Martin at 406-755-5268 or kmartin@hockadaymuseum.org, or visit the “Education” tab at www.hockadaymuseum.org.
