Wolfpack netters in charge at AA divisional tennis
GREAT FALLS — The Glacier boys and girls are off to a blazing start after first-day action at the Northern AA Divisional tennis tournament on Thursday.
The Glacier boys have all four doubles teams in today’s semifinal round. Ben Desmul and Logan Hill upset the divisional’s top seed — Tyler Patrick and Kyle Korb of Great Falls C.M. Russell 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Desmul and Hill won their opener 7-6 (6), 6-0.
Also advancing to the semifinals is singles player Holland Blalack. The top seed had a bye in the first round and coasted to a 6-1, 6-0 quarterfinal victory. He will play Leonard Ormseth of CMR in the semifinals today.
The Glacier girls have three doubles teams in the semifinals along with a singles player — McKenna Tinseth. She had a first-round bye and then bested Anna Rich of CMR in the quarterfinals 6-1, 6-1. She will play Anna Johnson of Great Falls High in the semifinals. Johnson is seeded No. 2 with Tinseth at No. 4.
The Glacier boys and girls are defending divisional champions.

MISSOULA — It was a long day for Flathead.
The Flathead boys lost all of their first-round singles and doubles matches.
The Flathead girls dropped all first-round doubles matches, but singles player Lauren McCarter provided the high point. She defeated Isla Oliver-Olsen of Missoula Hellgate 6-3, 6-4 in the first round before falling 5-2 and by injury default in the quarterfinals to Danielle Buchanan of Missoula Big Sky.
