Caller requests assistance with emails

A Fifth Avenue West resident called the Kalispell Police Department because someone he didn’t know was allegedly sending him emails “making it seem like he’s harassing them.” The caller wanted help finding out who the emails were coming from and what to do about them.

Some syringes were reportedly found in a parking lot off East Idaho Street. Police collected and disposed of them safely.

A caller told police there was loud music coming from a house on Eighth Avenue West and she suspected it was a “drug house.”

Someone found a stray rottweiler near Grandview Drive. Officers picked up the pooch and took it to the county shelter.

A cart full of groceries was reportedly stolen from a Third Avenue East North parking lot.

Officers counseled the owner of two barking dogs on College Avenue.

A concerned neighbor called to report what sounded like a fight occurring at a nearby First Avenue West residence. It turned out to be a party, and the revelers agreed to keep the noise down.

Employees called police for assistance with an alleged shoplifter at a business on Third Avenue East North.

A Seventh Avenue West resident reportedly sent a letter to police, complaining about a nearby neighbor’s chickens and rooster. Officers followed up with the man, who didn’t have an address where the offending fowl could be found and didn’t want to pursue anything further. Officers did a patrol in the area, but did not locate any chickens or roosters.

A Johnson Lane resident called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a personal road sign had been stolen, repeatedly.

A Hoffman Draw resident in Kila asked deputies to pick up a dog that “had been coming around for a few days.” The dog was reportedly a black Aussie shepherd mix that had a tag, but the phone number listed was not in service.

A Fourth Avenue South resident in Hungry Horse called about a group riding dirt bikes and ATVs nearby who were allegedly being reckless and “driving like they are on a racetrack.” Another caller reported a similar situation on Potter Lane in Columbia Falls. It was unclear if it was the same group of riders.

An employee of a gas station on U.S. 93 South in Kalispell called about a man sleeping inside a vehicle at one of the gas pumps. Deputies checked on the man, who was fine. He had apparently been driving for a long time and just stopped because he was tired and needed some shut-eye.

An employee of a Central Avenue business called the Whitefish Police Department for help removing some transients from the property.

Two teen girls were reportedly seen near Depot Street on the train tracks hopping between two trains. Officers were unable to locate the teens.

A man reported a firearm stolen from his truck while it was parked on East Third Street.
