Mama bear and cubs stop workers in tracks

According to the Whitefish Police Department call logs, construction workers were stopped in their tracks and had to be escorted from their spot by river because they didn’t want to cross a mama bear and her cubs.

A man tried to run after officers allegedly caught him stealing items that were supposed to be donated.

A concerned husband said his wife and sister went out to get drinks and the last he heard, his wife had lost track of his sister. He said it wasn’t like them to be out this late.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, two late-night trick-or-treaters gave a resident a fright when they knocked on the door wearing ski masks and carrying “guns.” Police contacted the boys and told them to go home.

According to the Kalispell Police Department call logs, a man allegedly pulled out a gun and cocked it at a construction worker after the worker told the man not to drive through the construction area.

A woman was going for a run when she got bit by a dog.

A caller said a driver almost ran a family over and then yelled at the family to use the crosswalk.

A hotel staffer said people were crowding into a room that hadn’t been paid for. When confronted about it they reportedly started to act violent.

A man was reported to be smoking inside a store and asking customers for money.

Staff at a hotel found drug paraphernalia inside a room people had been kicked out of.
