Margaret Louise Stebbins-Jacobson, 96

Margaret Louise Jacobson died on Oct. 30, 2017, in Kalispell.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1920, in Kalispell, the daughter of Fred L. and Celia Jump Stebbins. Her youth was spent on the family farm in the Egan district, graduating from the rural school of Egan. She attended Flathead County High School and graduated with high honors in the Class of 1937.

On April 19,1944, she was married to Irvin Jacobson in Kalispell. She followed her profession as a bookkeeper for 45 years. She worked for 18 years at the Kalispell Wholesale Grocery, the Propane Company, and then with the American Timber Company for 26 years. After retiring in 1983, she and her husband spent two to three months each winter in California and Arizona and spent time each summer fishing at Sekiu, Washington. She was a lifelong member of Northridge Lutheran Church, and a resident of Buffalo Hill Terrace for the last six years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Celia Stebbins, sister Alene Nagley, formerly of Seattle, and her beloved husband of 68 years, Irvin.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Lorrian Martin, of Portland; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Northridge Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northridge Lutheran Church or Buffalo Hill Terrace Employee Assistance Fund.
