Olney man sent to prison for rape

An Olney man was sentenced to 30 years in prison on felony charges of sexual intercourse without consent.

Augustus Clyde Prince, 23, was sentenced Thursday to Montana State Prison for a 30-year term with 15 years suspended after pleading guilty to the charge.

According to court documents, the incident occurred on Dec. 29, 2016. The victim, who was 17 at the time, said she fell asleep in a house where Prince was present and woke up later with pain from Prince penetrating her. Court reports state that Prince initially admitted to digitally penetrating the woman when he thought she was sleeping.
