No. 24939 INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS ARTICULATED WHEEL LOADER Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be publicly opened at 11:30 A.M. Mountain Time, Wednesday November 29, 2017 by the City of Whitefish, Montana ("City"), for a Articulated Wheel Loader. Bids will be accepted on or before the above specified time and date at the Public Works Dept, City Hall, 418 E. 2nd Street, P.O. Box 158, Whitefish, Montana, 59937. Bids must be sealed and marked, "BID FOR ARTICULATED WHEEL LOADER: WHITEFISH, MONTANA" in the lower left hand corner of the envelope. Specifications, bid forms, and contract documents may be inspected or obtained at the Public Works Department Office, City Hall, Whitefish, Montana. All proposals or Bids offered shall be accompanied by the Bid security in the form specified in MCA § 181203, which includes, but is not limited to, certified check, cashier's check, bank draft, bid bond, guarantee bond, or surety bond, payable to the City of Whitefish, Montana for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate of said proposal. The City shall publicly open and examine all proposals; provided, however, that no proposal shall be considered unless accompanied by aforementioned monies, check, draft or bond. The City may reject any and all proposals or bids should it deem this for the public good and also may reject the bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract or public works project with the City. The monies, check, draft, or bond accompanying any rejected proposals or Bids shall be immediately returned, all others shall be held by the City Clerk until a contract for providing such equipment, as hereinafter described, has been entered into, whereupon the Bid security shall be returned to all unsuccessful Bidders. If selected Bidder fails, neglects, or refuses to enter into said contract or otherwise fails to perform on such contract, then the monies, check, draft, or bond accompanying his Bid, and the amount therein provided shall be declared to be forfeited to the City as provided by MCA § 181204. Pursuant to Section 18-1-102, Montana Code Annotated, the City is required to provide purchasing preferences to resident Montana vendors and/or for products made in Montana equal to the preferences provided in the state of the competitor. The City reserves the right to determine the significance of all exceptions to bid specifications. Products or services that do not meet bid specifications must be clearly marked as an exception to the specifications. Vendors requesting inclusion or pre-approved alternatives to any of these bid specifications must receive written authorization from the Construction and Maintenance Supervisor a minimum of 5 working days prior to the closing of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids if all bids are rejected to re- advertise under the same or new specifications, or to make such an award as in the judgement of its officials that best meets the City's requirements. The City reserves the right to waive any technicality in the bidding which is not of substantial nature. Any objections to published specifications must be filed in written form with the Public Works Director prior to the bid opening at 11:30 AM, Wednesday November 29th 2017. Flathead County will soon commence a project to complete consulting services for the Flathead County Adult Detention Facility. Services needed include preliminary detention center design and floorplan, detention facility staffing analysis, and detailed financial analysis, including both construction and ongoing operational cost analysis, for a new Adult Detention Facility. CDBG regulations governing the grant require that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG-assisted project will be extended to local lower-income residents. Further, to the greatest extent feasible, business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area will be utilized. Approximately 9,473 tons, consisting of mixed conifer sawlogs, are offered for sale. Sealed bids will be opened at the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, 2705 Spurgin Road, Missoula, Montana on November 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed and will be accepted any time prior to the bid opening. DNRC recommends that bidders contact the Trust Land Management Division (406-542-4300) prior to the bid opening to ensure that your bid has been received. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit of $9,288.00, representing 5% of the minimum bid value of the sale in cashier's check, certified check, bank money order or bank draft to be applied to the first sale invoice for the successful bidder. Bid bonds will be accepted and, for the successful bidder, will be closed upon execution of the Timber Sale Contract and Timber Sale Bond. The sale will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder.
