Carol Anna Starbuck, 81

Carol Anna Starbuck, 81, passed away in her home on Nov. 4, 2017, after a short battle with liver cancer.

Carol was born Oct. 31, 1936, in Kalispell to Sigvald and Anna (Gazur) Nordtome. She was a lifelong resident and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1956.

Carol worked in the laundry at Immanuel Lutheran Home for 43 years. She married Wilford “Bill” Starbuck on April 4, 1964. She was very involved with Stillwater Free Lutheran Church. Although Carol and Bill had no children, she was a devoted aunt to eight nieces and nephews. Carol loved to crochet and tat. She was also an animal lover who adopted many, many cats and dogs throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joseph Nordtome; her niece, Yvonne LaSeur; and her beloved husband, Bill. She is survived by her sister Elaine Lessor, and nieces Linda (Lessor) Paulding, Liana Friedrich, Jolene (Nordtome) Bucher and Laura (Nordtome) Eslick, and nephews David Lessor, Donald Lessor and Josef Nordtome, and 21 great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Stillwater Free Lutheran Church with a luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. Internment will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
