No. 2397 CITY OF WHITEFISH, MONTANA REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE IMPACT FEES REVIEW AND UPDATE The City of Whitefish, Montana, is seeking Statements of Qualifications from firms experienced in the preparation and review of service area reports for impact fees such as water, wastewater, stormwater, emergency services, and other city provided services and/or facilities. The impact fees review and update shall be a written analysis for all seven impact fees that are currently imposed by the City and shall meet the requirements of Montana Code Annotated §7-6-1602. The City anticipates this study will provide recommendations for the City Council to consider continuing or discontinuing current impact fees. The consultant shall work with the Finance Director to ensure the plan can be updated or reviewed as needed by City staff in future years. Closing Date and Address: Written statements of qualifications shall be submitted to the Finance Director, City of Whitefish, 418 E. 2nd Street, Whitefish, Montana 59937 on or before 4:00 PM local time on the 17th day of November, 2017, at which time the statements of qualifications will be opened and read. No. 24949 Request for Public Comment USDA-Forest Service Flathead National Forest Swan Lake Ranger District Flathead County, Montana The Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Cold Jim Fuels Reduction and Forest Health Project has been completed and is available for public review and comment. The Responsible Official for this project is Forest Supervisor Chip Weber. The Cold Jim Project is located on the Swan Lake Ranger District, Flathead National Forest and lies within the boundaries of the Cold Jim Grizzly Bear Subunit. It extends north and west of Condon on the west side of MT Highway 83. The project identifies opportunities for reducing hazardous fuels, improving forest health, and providing wood products for local economies. The Supplemental EA documents the environmental effects of three alternatives, including the no action alternative. The action alternatives evaluate the potential effects of varying degrees of tree harvesting, precommercial thinning, road decommissioning, and resource enhancement work. Pursuant to 36 CFR 218.25, comments on this proposed project will be accepted for 30 days beginning on the first day after the date of publication of this legal notice in the Daily Inter Lake newspaper. If the comment period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or Federal holiday, comments will be accepted until the end of the next Federal working day. Only individuals or entities (as defined by 36 CFR 218.2) who submit timely and specific written comments (as defined by 36 CFR 218.2) about this proposed project or activity during this or another public comment period established by the Responsible Official will be eligible to file an objection. Other eligibility requirements are defined by 36 CFR 218.25 (a)(3) and include name, postal address, title of the project, and signature or other verification of identity upon request and the identity of the individual or entity who authored the comments. Individual members of an entity must submit their own individual comments in order to have eligibility to object as an individual.
