Man wraps abandoned vehicle in caution tape

According to the Whitefish Police Department, a resident reportedly wrapped an abandoned vehicle in caution tape after a tow-truck driver wanted to charge him to tow it. The man said he had gone into the abandoned and unlocked vehicle and found the owners registration and they straightened it out. The caller admitted he was told by law enforcement not to enter the vehicle.

A woman who originally told dispatch she lost her purse decided it had been stolen.

A caller reported a man in a black hoodie looking into cars.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a woman said she had talked to a man at the train station the night before and gave him her number. She wanted to know if he was “a shady character.”

A woman said she was worried a neighbor was being taken advantage of by a man in a camper. During her conversation with dispatch she decided she was more concerned about the camper being an eyesore.

A caller said her sister stole their dad’s credit card.

A resident said they had contained some pot-bellied pigs that wandered onto their property. They wanted to know what to do next.

According to the Lincoln County Police Department, a caller said her neighbor was walking his dog and having it defecate in front of her property.

Someone found an elk that had been shot and left near Quartz Creek.

A man said he got a “security alert” letter in the mail advising him that his information had been viewed on the internet. The letter asked him to go to a webpage and enter his information. He could tell it was a scam.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, an officer was flagged down by someone who had questions about how to get a cat out of a tree.

A caller had questions about bullying laws. They advised their son’s health has been deteriorating because he is being bullied.

A caller said his tire was slashed.
