Legs or tails?

A caller told the Whitefish Police Department that her dog had picked up another dog’s leg. Officers made contact with her and reported that the pooch had actually picked up a deer tail.

Multiple gunshots were reported near a home. Police logs indicate that an officer was shooting at a nearby range.

A caller told dispatch that a friend seemed to be having a paranoid psychotic episode.

A woman said she had read in the paper that a vehicle had been towed in Whitefish. She was wondering if it was her car, but officers informed her that her car had not been located.

A bar patron was allegedly hit in the face by someone she had a restraining order against. According to police logs, the attacker then told her that she would be lucky to get home before she got to the woman’s kids. Officers reported no sign that the alleged attacker had been to the patron’s home.

A group of kids was reportedly screaming and driving 50 miles per hour down Denver Street.

The West Valley Fire Department answered calls about a gas odor/carbon monoxide exposure on Konley Drive in Kalispell.

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to reports of a hit-and-run on Montana 40 West near Whitefish.

The U.S. Forest Service responded to calls about a grass/brush/wildland fire.
