Grandma had enough of loafing grandson

A Kalispell grandmother had enough of her 25-year-old grandson and reportedly wanted him removed from her home when he pitched a fit, yelling and screaming after being asked to get up for the day and get off the couch. She told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office she was uncertain if marijuana or alcohol was part of the problem. Parties were separated until emotions calmed.

A shovel-wielding woman was allegedly trespassing on a Columbia Falls property and threw a rock at a man. The woman reportedly admitted that she threw the rock, but later changed her story saying a rock landed by his feet when she was shoveling dirt on the man’s property that he had purportedly put onto her property.

A county crew cutting trees on the side of a road requested assistance in diffusing a situation where a woman reportedly was yelling at them. The county allegedly had agreed to leave the trees in full length so the landowners could run them through their sawmill. The landowners said they would contact the county commissioners to try and get the tree removal stopped, until then the crew would be left alone to continue their work.

Someone on Rocky Lane in Columbia Falls reported that a person had gone through vehicles and broke into a shop.

A Hungry Horse store reportedly closed after a woman called warning them that her husband had threatened to go to the store with a gun to shoot an employee.

A generator was reported stolen from a house under construction in Coram.

A concerned employee in Somers reported the business had received a suspicious handwritten letter from an out-of-state address in which the writer allegedly talked about liking children in inappropriate ways.

A patient who was allegedly a known drug user left a Kalispell medical facility with an IV in her arm before a nurse could remove it.

A distraught woman on Jaquette Road in Kalispell reported her pure-bred Siberian husky was missing and may have been stolen after she claimed to have received an anonymous tip the dog was seen in another town with a man.

A man told the Whitefish Police Department his wife reportedly hit him on the head with a set keys multiple times, drawing blood, before leaving the house with their children. He said the previous night they got into an argument about her drinking after she allegedly came home drunk.

A handgun was reported stolen from a vehicle on U.S. 93 South.

A woman thought it was strange when she noticed that household items, such as pictures and a frying pan, were reportedly missing from her home and garage and told Kalispell Police Department.

Someone reported a leaf blower stolen out of a garage.

Someone with sensitive hearing called police about an upstairs neighbor who was allegedly antagonizing him or her by slamming items on the floor, moving furniture and being loud.

A woman in a checkout line purportedly stole candy and juice in a large brown purse before leaving.

Someone spotted flames at the end of an alley, but couldn’t tell what was on fire. It turned out to be a burn barrel and the person responsible was advised of open burning rules.

Extra patrol was requested by a mother whose child was being taunted by high school ruffians in the morning when he was trying to get to school.

An employee requested a welfare check for a young girl who was hanging out in front of an East Idaho business.

A caller was suspicious of a man wearing an eye patch who allegedly looked in the window of a neighbor’s house and in the caller’s truck while he was standing on the porch.

Extra patrol was requested on Martha Road when a resident told Columbia Falls Police Department that his children’s backpacks were taken from his vehicle during the night and the contents flung across the yard.
