The Fourth Annual Flathead Pitchers’ Boot Camp, an eight-week program hosted by Kalispell Lakers AA head coach Ryan Malmin, begins Sunday, Oct. 29.

The goal of the eight-day camp, which will be held on Sunday each week from Oct. 29 through Dec. 17, is to “take campers to the next level of the physical and mental preparation it takes to be successful on the mound,” according to a press release announcing the event.

The program is open to all pitchers aged 11-18, but registration will be capped at 24 athletes. The deadline to register is Oct. 23. The camp has sold out in each of its first three years, according to the release.

Physical training by Malmin, who has produced seven all-state Lakers pitchers in the past nine years, will include resistance tubing, medicine balls, weighted balls and explosive circuit training.

The cost of the camp is $125 and includes 12 hours of training, video analysis and a functional movement screen from OrthoRehab to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each pitcher’s delivery over eight days.

Additional information and registration is available online at www.kalispelllakers.org. For questions, call Ryan at 253-2232.
