Officers help with disorderly couple
A train conductor requested assistance from the Whitefish Police Department with a couple who were allegedly intoxicated and being disorderly. Officers met the train at the station and removed the couple from the train.
A passer-by reported a water leak at a rest area on U.S. 93 West. The caller said the leak had flooded a nearby lawn and was working its way toward the highway. The Public Works Department was notified of the potential problem.
An East Second Street business employee called police after discovering a wallet and cellphone in one of the flower beds outside the business. Officers were able to reunite the wallet with its owner.
A golf course employee warned police about a possible scam, in which people were allegedly receiving phone calls offering tee times at a golf course for the weekend if the caller inputs a credit card number. However, the employee said that is not the case and that the course is private all the time.
Officers spoke with some Skyles Place residents about a barking dog.
A woman called police after allegedly being punched in the face by another woman at a Central Avenue bar. The woman said she did not need medical attention, but wanted to report the incident.
Someone reported an intoxicated pedestrian near the railroad tracks under the viaduct. Some BNSF employees reportedly removed him from the tracks and sent him toward town before officers arrived.
A caller on Central Avenue requested help from police to get another man out of the area. The other man had reportedly gotten into a fight with someone and had a bloody nose, but was still trying to pick fights with others and didn’t want to leave.
Two men were reportedly fighting behind a store on Baker Avenue. The caller said the duo could be heard threatening each other. Officers found it was two brothers arguing, and advised them to go back to bed.
A driver called police for help because another vehicle was allegedly following her and attempted to hit her vehicle. The offending driver was cited and released to his parents.

The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn on Concord Lane.
The Creston Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn on Foothill Road.
The Whitefish Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn on Johns Way.
