Work resumes in Columbia Falls on Tuesday

There will not be any lane closures on U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls through Monday, Sept. 4, although there will be some barricades and cones set up at driveways and sidewalks in the construction area.

Beginning Sept. 5 construction crews will resume working between Hilltop Road and Veteran Drive and motorists should expect single lane traffic and delays. Work will continue through Saturday, Sept 9. Motorists are reminded to watch for signs, work crews and equipment and travel at posted speeds until signs indicate the work zone has ended. Fines double in work zones.
