Police called to deal with box of illicit rocks

Kalispell Police took a call from a business with a fenced yard reporting that a man had arrived and asked to be given “a small silver box that his friend threw in their back lot.” An employee at the business would not allow the man access, but did recover the silver box and found it to contain “clear rocks” that appeared to be illicit drugs. An officer arrived to pick up the crystals for destruction.

A man who sometimes dresses as a woman found a perfect accessory, but didn’t pay for it. The $2 pair of earrings was taken, but the owner didn’t want to press charges, just have police let the man know he was no longer welcome in the store.

A woman with two children earned a lifetime “not welcome” award from a local grocery store after trying to leave with a cart full of them that hadn’t been paid for.

A man who reportedly tried to cash a fraudulent check tried to evade police in a vehicle. When apprehended, the man was cited and his vehicle was towed.

Someone thought it was suspicious for a couple of teenagers in sleeveless shirts to be hanging out on a concrete barrier in a drive-through. Police were about to question the boy and girl when a parent drove up. Turns out they were just waiting for a ride.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a caller wanted it documented that a man who was told to return car parts never showed up. Police made contact with the man who said he was “running late” and would text to set up a meeting. He called police back later saying he hadn’t got a response to his calls or texts.

A Kalispell man wanted to file charges against his teenage daughter’s mother after she allegedly grabbed the daughter’s arm and bruised it during a fight.

A man reportedly found a gray Cadillac in his driveway with no plates and junk in it. The owner of the vehicle couldn’t be reached, and the man who found the car said he would have it towed.

A suspicious person was reported walking near Woodland Park on Monday morning. The caller described the man as wearing camouflage, having “googley eyes” and a scruffy face.

A man told police his wife pushed him down the stairs after he came over to get some of his property. When police tried to contact the woman, the woman reportedly said “I’m OK” repeatedly but would not give any more information. Eventually calls from police went to voicemail.

A Columbia Falls man said someone used his credit card 10 times over the weekend, and he believed someone may have had a scanner on the gas station pump where he last used his card.

A woman said she was bit on her right thumb by her daughter-in-law’s cat while she was house sitting. The cat’s name is Trouble.

A business owner was worried about prostitution occurring in front of the store after allegedly witnessing a young female leaving with a male and returning with what appeared to be cash in her hand.

A Kila resident called after hearing rumors of fraudulent firemen evacuating homes. The caller was worried about being burglarized because she was at work and had forgotten to lock her doors. She later got a friend to check on her home.
