Glacier downs Skyview; Senior stops Flathead

GREAT FALLS — Kali Gulick had 19 kills and eight blocks and Anna Schrade led with 12 digs and four aces as Glacier pulled out a tough 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23 victory over Billings Skyview in Class AA volleyball play Thursday evening.

Glacier will compete in the Great Falls Invitational today and Saturday.

Glacier: Kills 39 (Kali Gulick 19). Blocks 15 (Gulick 8). Digs 38 (Anna Schrade 12). Assists 34 (Ashley Montini 34). Aces 10 (Schrade 4).

Billings Skyview: Kills 32 (Bella Bryan 10). Blocks 7 (Aspen Williams 4). Digs 42 (Sage Fox 19). Assists 25 (Emilee Allred 16). Aces 17 (Emily 7).

Billings Senior 3, Flathead 1

GREAT FALLS — Billings Senior won the first, third and four sets to upend Flathead 25-10, 17-25, 25-21, 25-11 in a Class AA matchup.

Senior dominated net play posting 42 kills to Flathead’s 25 and led in blocks 11.5-6.

Julie Burden had 12 kills for Flathead.

Bailey Nunn led the Bravettes in assists with 21 and tied Abbie Chavez for most aces with three each.

Flathead will compete in the Great Falls Invitational today and Saturday.

Billings Senior: Kills: 42 (Raegan Steiner 15, Kola Bad Bear 10). Assists: 40 (Sam Bonenberger 22). Aces: 22 (Hallee Conger 8). Digs: 49 (Jordan Gilcrist 14, Conger 11, Kelsey Sargent 11). Blocks: 11.5 (Bad Bear 7).

Flathead: Kills 25 (Julie Burden 12). Assists 23 (Bailey Nunn 21). Blocks 6 (Hannah O’Dell 4). Digs 17 (Sierra Wilhelm 10), Aces 8 (Abbi Chavez 3, Nunn 3).

Columbia Falls 3, Ronan 0

RONAN — The only statistical battle Columbia Falls lost was digs in a 25-11, 25-10, 25-22 Class A triumph over Ronan.

Ronan won that battle — digs — 58-47.

Ryley Kehr had 11 of Columbia Falls’ 25 kills. Louetta Conko-Camel had eight of Ronan’s 16 kills.

Kehr and Savvy Ellis had two blocks each for team highs for the Wildcats.

Hannah Schweikert had a team best 20 assists and four aces for Columbia Falls.

Columbia Falls: Kills 25 (Ryley Kehr 11). Blocks 6 (Kehr 2, Savvy Ellis 2). Digs 47 (Tallia Sova 10). Assists 21 (Hannah Schweikert 20). Aces 7 (Schweikert 4).

Troy 3, St. Ignatius 0

TROY — Troy made it two in a row by topping St. Ingatius 25-6, 25-18, 25-22.

Troy (2-2) had 20 aces in the match, led by Katilyn Downey’s seven.

Aurora Becquart had nine kills for the victors and three blocks.
