Artist Julie Wulf offers silk painting workshop
Artist and teacher Julie Wulf will offer a silk painting workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Bigfork Art and Cultural Center.
Wulf will teach a technique of embellishing silk fabrics that has been used for more 3,500 years. Workshop supplies are provided, and participants should bring a brown bag lunch. Participants should also bring a clearly drawn sketch of the image you want to paint. Flowers, birds, fish, and animals make good subject matter.
The workshop fee is $85, or $75 for BACC members. The fee covers 5.5 hours of instruction and all materials.
Workshop requires a non-refundable $40 deposit to hold a spot, and space is limited so reservations are requested.
