| September 20, 2017 7:21 PM

Chuck Kyger passed away Sept. 14, 2017, at home, after a hard fought battle with cancer, with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born March 26, 1937, in Keltner, Missouri, to Charles and Katherine Kyger. He was one of seven children. He quit school at a young age to help take care of his family.

In 1959 he married Leatha Hoyle and they had two girls, Joyce and Anita. They later divorced and in 1966 he married Karen Walter. They just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in June. Chuck and Karen added two children to the family, Wade and Lisa.

Chuck was a hard worker and spent many years working at Superior Lumber/Columbia Falls Forest Products before it shut down. He then went to work for Meadow Lake until the fall of 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Karen, son Wade (Robyn) Kyger, daughters Joyce (Brad) Murray, Anita (Mark) Davis, and Lisa (Duwayne) McSloy; along with 17 grandkids and 19 great-grandkids. His family was his life and his grandkids had him wrapped around their fingers.

Services for Chuck will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Columbia Mortuary with urn burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. A potluck lunch will follow in the chapel of the Montana Veterans Home. Dad is now free of pain and able to deer hunt once again.
