Plein Air Paint Out Party and Sale to be held Saturday
The Hockaday Museum of Art’s annual Plein Air Paint Out is finishing up this week. The event sends 30 juried artists outdoors to paint and then showcases their creations at a fundraising party and sale, followed by an exhibition.
This year’s Plein Air Paint Out Party and Sale will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. The artists’ work will be on display at the museum from Oct. 3 through Dec. 2.
Artists featured this year have painted locations of their choice within the Flathead and Swan valleys and Glacier National Park between Sept. 22 and 28. They will present autumn landscapes, farm and city views and wildlife. All of the works created for the Plein Air event will be offered for sale at fixed prices at Saturday’s Plein Air Paint Out Party and Sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the museum’s programs and exhibitions.
Participating artists this year include Vernon Anderson, Pamm Ciupa, Jack Dykstra, Therese Ely, Haakon Ensign, Denise Gilroy, Kadin Goldberg, Margaret Graziano, Jack Hagel, Gail Hansen, Sandra Hildreth, Shirl Ireland, Tabby Ivy, Allen Jimmerson, Bhavani Krishnan, Thomas G.
