Neighbor calls fowl play

A caller complained to the Kalispell Police Department that his neighbor’s chickens had flown the coop and were trespassing on his yard. Upon further investigation, the chickens were back in their coop; their owner was allegedly unaware of their journey, though she promised to “keep an eye on them.”

A woman called to report her ex-husband for trespassing.

A toolkit was reportedly stolen from a parked vehicle.

A woman stated that her daughter claimed that two boys stole a gun and a camera from her. The boys were allegedly “bragging about hiding the items they took” and getting the daughter high.

A woman from Los Angeles called to report her daughter missing. The daughter was allegedly in Kalispell to retrieve items from a storage unit but hadn’t been heard from in a week. Police are looking into the report.

A woman reportedly saw a girl trying to break into a storage unit on her house with bolt cutters. The aspiring thief was unsuccessful, however, so she “took off on foot down the alley.”

A caller reported that a friend’s bank account had been drained by a scammer who convinced her to share her credit card information over the phone. The scammer allegedly told the woman that he would drain the account and give the money to charity. The woman was advised to cancel her cards and watch her accounts closely.

A woman was cited for trying to slip out cough syrup in her purse.

A man allegedly “flipped off” a driver on U.S. 93 and pointed a “revolver” at him from his car. The gun was later confiscated and revealed to be a pellet gun.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a brown and white beagle was on the loose, unable to be caught.

An unauthorized vehicle was reportedly parked at a residence, but the caller later corrected that he had missed a text earlier and the vehicle belonged to a friend.

A stop sign was reported missing.

A woman called to say that three dogs in her building were barking “all day and night.”

A woman was locked outside of her house with her wheelchair-bound husband. Police were able to help them get back inside.

A woman called to say she felt “scared” by her landlord, who was allegedly yelling at her and threatening to confiscate her car until she paid him rent money.
