Free-spirit cats becoming a problem

A woman on Leonard Lane in Kalispell “understands that cats are free spirits,” but was having issues with a frisky feline that was reportedly coming into her house causing cat fights with her furry companion. The woman said the cat’s owner reportedly said to “just shoot it with a BB gun.” Law enforcement countered the advice of animal cruelty by telling the woman to take the cat to the county shelter instead.

It wasn’t Easter eggs that rabbits were leaving on a Somers resident’s lawn when a woman called Flathead County Sheriff’s Department with questions about free-range animals. The woman was reportedly having issues with the roaming rabbits defecating on her lawn after discovering her dog’s appetite for the vegetarian fare.

A Hungry Horse man wanted information logged that another man reportedly threatened his life, but “more importantly” threatened to damage his vehicle and property by posting a message on social media stating he was going to kill him, shoot him and “burn his truck to the ground.”

Someone on Montana 35 in Kalispell saw men yelling in an apartment complex when the window of van was allegedly smashed.

A woman on Third Avenue in Hungry Horse was not happy with the reply to her trash can plea. She supposedly left a note on her trash can asking a man to stop plowing snow into her yard. The man was thoughtful enough to leave a reply, but apparently the contents did not sit well with the woman who called law enforcement and was very upset.

A Kalispell pastor wanted advice from a deputy on whether it was safe or not to “keep a man around the church” who reportedly made some “bold claims” and said to check a website referencing the pastor’s concerns.

A woman on Trumble Creek Road reported a gun, wallet and cellphone were stolen out of a truck.

A man was allegedly beating a woman in Bigfork. The woman, possibly an ex, had allegedly punched and attacked the man and had broken into his house.

A West Glacier home was allegedly burglarized and a safe pried open with two rifles, one shotgun, ammunition and a sleeping pad reported missing.

Someone on Winterhawk Drive in Bigfork called officers to report a vehicle that had reportedly been parked at an intersection on a private road. Notes were left on the vehicle asking it to be moved. The caller said a man responded with a note he would “defend his property and that no one better touch his vehicle.” Oh, and it was also reported that whoever was driving the vehicle allegedly defecated on the road by it.

A mother called from Minnesota to voice concerns “with all the suspicious packages being shipped around the world.” The woman said she had sent her daughter a package and it arrived with another package containing a ceiling fan that had not been ordered or expected.

Mules were seen running all over the highway by someone on Swan Meadow Drive in Bigfork.Meanwhile, on Three Mile Drive, a goat spotted in the road was safely returned to its pen.

An intoxicated aunt was causing a scene by the pool at a Columbia Falls resort by allegedly using profanities to belittle a screaming and crying 10-year-old girl.

A driver on Montana 35 got into an argument with his passenger and reportedly told officers he punched the man in the mouth during an argument when the passenger kept referring to one of his relatives as pedophile.

A drunk woman was reportedly causing a ruckus on someone’s front porch in Kalispell when she was described eating food with her hands, pulling her pants down, yelling, refusing to go to bed, ringing the doorbell and banging on the door.
