Doris Lauzon, 92

| April 10, 2018 4:00 AM

Doris Lauzon, loving mother and devoted wife, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the age of 92.

Doris lived a very active and fulfilled life with her family always being the center of her focus. Doris was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, in March 1926. She and our father, Leo, built their first home in 1950 but then moved to California in 1954 to enjoy the sunny weather and seek new adventures in life.

Doris worked for 25 years as a dental assistant and later as an office manager for a large group of dentists in Long Beach, California. After an early retirement she enjoyed many happy times with Dad and family at their river home in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Riding dune buggies, shooting shotguns and boating at Havasu were just some of the things she enjoyed. Cooking for family especially around the holidays was another passion and a table setting was always there for anyone who needed a great meal.

She lived to Whitefish and lived there from November 2013 until passing last week. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Elisee Houde, her husband and the love of her life, Leo, as well as her sister Rita and brother Raymond. She is survived by her loving sons, Mark and Dennis, her daughters-in-law Sheri and Shawna, her grandchildren Vanessa, Veronica and Erin, nieces Vivian and Claire.

Viewing will be at Darlington Mortuary in Kalispell at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Orange, California, on April 17.

Darlington Cremation and Burial Service is caring for Doris’ family.
