The city of Eureka has won a $450,000 grant for the extension of the city’s centralized wastewater-collection system.

Eureka is one of six Montana communities that will share $2.6 million of federal grant funding through the Montana Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant program to support the financing of critical infrastructure and community development projects in Montana.

Other cities earning block grants were Thompson Falls, which was awarded $381,730 to revitalize a blighted property in Ainsworth Field Park; Cascade and Carbon counties and cities of Harlow and Shelby, all of which will receive $450,000 for utility improvements.
