| April 18, 2018 4:00 AM

Thomas “Tom” Gallery, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

Tom was born Oct.18, 1948, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to John and Arlene Gallery. He was the oldest of four boys. During his school years, Tom enjoyed playing various sports and spending time with his brothers on his grandparents’ farm.

After high school Tom was drafted into the Army and proudly served for his country. Tom returned to Minnesota briefly after being discharged, then packed up and headed to the beautiful mountains of Montana, which became his forever home.

He worked various jobs until he was hired on to Burlington Northern Railroad where he worked for 25 years.

Tom met and married Trudy and together they raised their two sons, Justin and Jordan Gallery. Tom enjoyed watching them play various sports, specifically coaching them on their baseball teams.

Tom enjoyed retirement by keeping busy. He had his newspaper delivery routes where he loved “B.S.ing” with his regulars as he would say. He loved spending time with his fishing buddies Nolan and George at Lake McDonald, stopping at Bob’s to show the crew their catch of the day. Tom also enjoyed hunting and picking huckleberries. Summer-times were filled with outdoor fun, especially in the evening around a campfire with the grandkids.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom is survived by his wife, Trudy; his brothers Dick “Chooch,” Greg, and John “Johnny”; his sons, Justin and Jordan; his granddaughters, Mikayla and Paisha Gallery; and extended family Wyatt, Savannah and Aaron Warren.

A celebration of life will be held later this summer.

A Fisherman’s Prayer — Author unknown

“I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day.

And when it comes to my last cast,

I then most humbly pray,

when in the Lord’s great landing net and peacefully asleep,

That in his mercy I be judged

Big Enough to Keep!”
