Alma was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Coleharbor, North Dakota. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Benedict, North Dakota, where the family set up home and the 11 children were raised. In 1963 they moved to Auburn, Washington. Alma worked as a cook at Cascade Junior High until 1976 when they moved to Whitefish where they bought and operated a Coast-to-Coast store. They retired in 1982 and moved back to Auburn to be closer to family and friends.

Alma was active in her church and she and John were active with North Dakota dance groups, dancing almost every weekend until John’s passing in 1992. Through all the travels and adventures, many friendships were made and treasured. In 2017, Alma moved into Merrell Gardens where she developed more dear friendships.

Alma is survived by sons, Timothy (Kathy) and Jeff (Dede); grandchildren, Anthony (Melissa), Amanda, and Scott (Jennifer), seven great-grandchildren, Adelayde, Savannah, Bridgette, Alexis Johnathan, Kendal and Kay lao; sisters, Ester Vitko and Hulda Melhoff; and brother, Ervin Weishaar.
